Dreamlight Valley: living with Disney and Pixar characters

Disney Dreamlight Valley is a new life simulator set in the Disney and Pixar universe that invites players to join the adventure alongside the company’s popular characters. The game takes place in a place called Dreamlight Valley, a village that after a mysterious event known as The Forgetting was surrounded by strange plants called Night Thorns, and forced Disney and Pixar characters to escape to their own kingdoms. Players will control a new character that they can create and customize to their liking, and the goal is to develop a bond with the villagers and help them recover their memories by completing different missions or objectives.

Disney’s iconic Castle of Dreams acts as a gateway to the different realms of the movies. The wizard Merlin, from The Sword in the Stone, will act as a guide, providing the first tools and clues to advance in the adventure. The game will be released in a preview version with four realms: two that have not yet been revealed, one set in the universe of Moana and another in the universe of Wall-E.A As the missions are fulfilled and the memories are recovered, the forest of thorns will begin to disappear, enabling new areas to travel, with different objectives and activities to perform.

In addition to interacting with Disney and Pixar characters, users will be able to build and customize their homes and grow the village with different decorations and venues, participate in mini-games and perform activities such as fishing, cooking, farming and much more. Of course everything will be bathed in the Disney theme, so characters like Goofy, Ariel, Simba, Moana and Remy will star in several of the minigames and activities, and many of the costumes to use will pay tribute to the most popular franchises.” Your days will be filled with everything from preparations for delicious Disney-themed desserts at your own village restaurant along with Remy de Ratatouille, fishing with Goofy, as well as using the vegetables you planted and harvested in Wall•E’s garden, just to name a few,” the official announcement reads.

Dreamlight Valley includes a game clock that works in real time. This means that if players are in an area where it is night it will be night in the game, and although the venues are open 24 hours, some characters will only visit them at certain times — encouraging users to connect at different times of the day. According to the study, the main story of the game will offer between 40 and 60 hours of content, and each character will have their own narrative arc and can evolve by obtaining rewards. However, once the campaign is complete there will be much more to do. Dreamlight Valley is going to be available in 2023 on consoles and PC and is going to be a free game with microtransactions.
