In conversation with CNN Chile, the rector-elect said that “it is a tremendous challenge, I realize that I represent many women who have given very important in the academy and one is a product of all that history, of all the work. This is not my triumph, it is the triumph of all women.”
Notably, Devés holds a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Western Ontario, an academic at the School of Medicine and has previously served as pro-rector and vice-chancellor for Academic Affairs.
