Army secures nine more clandestine laboratories in Sinaloa

Sinaloa.- The Ministry of National Defense, informs that, on June 8 and 9, 2022, within the framework of the National Strategy for Public Security and the Zero Impunity Policy of the federal government, Mexican Army personnel carried out the seizure of nine clandestine laboratories, for the manufacture of synthetic drugs in the municipalities of Culiacán and Cosalá, Derived from the planning and intelligence work to detect criminal organizations with a presence in that entity, dedicated to the manufacture of synthetic drugs, the Mexican Army increased the deployment of reaction forces in the vicinity of the towns of Corral Viejo, Elota and Cajón de las Minas of these municipalities, in order to continue locating clandestine laboratories. Upon arriving at the indicated areas, the military personnel established security perimeters confirming the information and proceeding to the disqualification of 9 clandestine laboratories where the following was assured: June 8, 2022, 7 clandestine laboratories were located in the town of Corral Viejo, municipality of Culiacán, Sin.Laboratorio No. 1- 20 tambos with a capacity of 50 liters, empty.- 18 tubs with a capacity of 500 liters, empty.- 2 organic synthesis reactors with a capacity of 200 liters. Laboratory No. 2- 8 jugs with a capacity of 50 liters, empty.- 6 tubs with a capacity of 300 liters, empty.- 4 organic synthesis reactors with a capacity of 200 liters.- 2 empty gas tanks. Laboratory No. 3- 4 tambos, 2 with a capacity of 300 liters and the others of 100, empty.- 3 organic synthesis reactors with a capacity of 200 liters. Laboratory No. 4- 6 jugs with a capacity of 50 liters, empty.- 3 tubs with a capacity of 500 liters, empty.- 1 organic synthesis reactors with a capacity of 200 liters. Laboratory No. 5- 8 bottles with a capacity of 50 liters, empty.- 5 organic synthesis reactors with a capacity of 200 liters. Laboratory No. 6- 50 drums with a capacity of 50 liters, empty.- 20 empty gas tanks.- 15 drums with a capacity of 200 liters, empty.- 13 organic synthesis reactors with a capacity of 200 liters.- 2 tanks with a capacity of 1,000 liters, empty. Laboratory No. 7- 8 jugs with a capacity of 50 liters, empty.- 4 organic synthesis reactors with a capacity of 200 liters.- 2 tambos with a capacity of 300 liters, empty.June 9, 2022, 2 clandestine laboratories were located:Laboratory No. 1, in the town of Elota, municipality of Cosalá, Sin.- 400 liters of methanol.- 240 liters of acetocarmin.- 10 tambos of 200 liters, empty.- 11 kilograms of a mass with characteristics of methamphetamine. Laboratory No. 2, in the town of Cajón de las Minas, municipality of Cosalá, Sin.- 175 kilograms of caustic soda, in 7 sacks of 25 kilograms.- 10 drums of transparent plastic color, with unknown chemical substances.- 3 plastic thermoses with a capacity of 20 liters, empty.- 2 plastic thermoses with a capacity of 25 liters, empty. With the location of these 9 laboratories, the Mexican Army counts more than 700 clandestine laboratories insured in the state of Sinaloa in the present administration. The insured material was disabled and made available to the competent authorities; which prevents this type of place from being used for the manufacture of synthetic drugs that affect the health and integral development of Mexican youth. With these actions, the Mexican Army and Air Force endorse their commitment to ensure and safeguard the well-being of citizens, contributing to the Government of Mexico to guarantee the peace and security of Mexicans.
