Summer Game Fest: the most important announcements of the Xbox event

The week of the Summer Game Fest continues and Microsoft decided to brighten us up on Sunday with a content-packed event, in which it announced almost 30 games, all planned for the next 12 months. While Starfield, the game from the creators of The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim, was the star of the broadcast, there were big announcements, reveals, and new glimpses of titles already presented, plus plenty of release dates.

You can relive the Xbox & Bethesda Showcase on the Xbox YouTube channel, but we choose the most important announcements, so you know which games you can’t lose sight of in the coming months.

Giger. Not suitable for weak stomachs.

Studio: Arkane Studio
Platforms: Xbox Series, PC
Release: 2023Redfall presented the first gameplay trailer, in which it showed a little more of the town that gives it its name, invaded by vampires and various factions that will have to face while we fulfill missions both alone and in cooperative mode. From what it looks like it seems to point to a structure similar to that of Destiny, replacing the alien races with a supernatural threat.

Studio: Bethesda
Platforms: Xbox Series, PC
Release: 2023The project that took more than two decades to become a reality is closer than ever, and in the first gameplay trailer Bethesda showed what it was working on all this time: Starfield is shaping up to become one of the biggest and most comprehensive games we’ve ever played, a universe with almost endless possibilities that combines systems and mechanics into a single experience.

While it was not the announcement of a game itself, Hideo Kojima, the creator of the Metal Gear Solid saga, said present to confirm that he reached an agreement with Microsoft to develop a new project that will take advantage of the possibilities offered by cloud gaming to create an experience like it has not been seen before. What it will be or when we will see it, are questions whose answers will have to wait a long time.
