Official deputy Raúl Soto asks to evaluate a change of cabinet to “correct the course and reorder the house”

Given the drop in the discharge figures of President Gabriel Boric, the helmsman of the Chamber of Deputies, Raúl Soto (PPD), suggested to the Government to evaluate a change of cabinet to “correct the course and reorder the house.”
“If we want this government to do well, as is my case, obviously we are concerned about the drop in citizen valuation on the part of the surveys themselves, of what has been the management of this Government,” said the legislator.
“Perhaps it is necessary to seriously evaluate the possibility of a change of cabinet and advance the second half to give a rudder blow, correct the course and reorder the house again to tune in with that citizenship that today seems elusive,” added the deputy.
From the ruling party they marked distance to Soto’s statements. Senator Juan Ignacio Latorre (RD) questioned the attempt to “guide the President to 100 days of government, it is not the most appropriate (…) today the government is focused on resuming the agenda of structural reforms.”
Meanwhile, Senator Fidel Espinoza (PS) said that “we are not in charge of asking for a change of cabinet to the Government, it should be the President who makes a thorough evaluation of how his Government is doing.”
Recall that in the most recent CEP poll, the approval of President Boric reached 32%, the worst start of government since the return to democracy.
