The payment of the compensatory monthly contribution of the increase in the value of the Basic Food Basket (CBA) began this Wednesday, June 29. The transfer will be made every month, until April 2023.
“The Basic Basket Contribution – or Compensatory Monthly Contribution – is an amount given to families that helps offset the increase in the costs of the Basic Food Basket,” the Social Security Institute (IPS) said on its website.
The amount of the contribution corresponds to $7,342 pesos per family load. However, this month contemplates the retroactive payment of May, so the figure increases $ 14,684.
Who can get paid?
The contribution is not nominatable. It will be given to those who receive Family Allowance, Family or Maternal Allowance or belong to the Subsystem of Security and Opportunities (Family Ethical Income) or Chile Solidario.
The payment in the first months corresponds to those who have had those benefits in force as of December 31, 2021. In these cases, it will be paid according to the number of deceased (such as family responsibilities) duly accredited.
Where to know if I am a beneficiary or a beneficiary?
The beneficiaries of the Basic Food Basket Contribution can consult the IPS www.aportecanasta.cl site from June 29, 2022 if they receive the contribution.
You must click on “Consult”, enter the RUT and date of birth and the platform will indicate if the person is a beneficiary of the contribution, in addition to the date and form of payment.
What will the payment method be like?
In the case of people who usually receive (every month) IPS benefits, if they meet the requirements, they will be paid the Contribution in the same way as they receive those benefits.
If the person is not a regular beneficiary of the IPS and has a current RUT Account, the Basic Food Basket Contribution will be deposited in that account.
