Businessman Raphael Tunesi murdered in Palenque, Chiapas

Businessman Raphael Alessandro Tunesi, of Italian origin, was killed on Friday in the municipality of Palenque, Chiapas.
The State Prosecutor’s Office only announced that police went to the vicinity of the school called La Escriba, where they found the businessman inside a BMW vehicle, with various impacts of firearm projectiles.

“Immediately began with the investigation protocol, with the cordoning off of the place to preserve evidence that helps clarify the crime,” the State Prosecutor’s Office limited itself to informing.

According to a report by Chiapas Paralelo, Raphael Tunesi was going to pick up his daughters from school, but was intercepted by armed men, who shot him at close range.
The media highlights that Tunesi, in addition to owning the boutique hotel Quinta Chanabnal, was an epigrapher, writer and lecturer on the Mayan culture.
In April 2021, Tunesi participated in the forum “Mexico-Italy 500 years of cultural dialogue” organized by the Ministry of Culture, where relations between Italy and Mexico from the Conquest to the present were addressed.
