The act to start these days started at 11 in the morning in the Stela de Luz. Representatives of the Society of Jesus and the Conference of the Mexican Episcopate met there.
“From today until the last day of the month, the Church, and anyone who wishes to join this initiative, will be asking God for the victims of violence, as well as for our rulers, our pastors and all those who inhabit this beautiful country, including those who do evil, so that they may be converted to the Lord.” he recalled in his editorial Desde la Fe, the Mexican Episcopate.
Prior to this day of prayers, priests and activists from search collectives marched on the pilgrimage of peace, on July 6, which took place in Mexico City and other states, to demand that the government of Mexico change the security strategy.
