Fonatur assures that 5 of 6 suspensions against the Mayan Train have already been revoked

The National Fund for the Promotion of Tourism (Fonatur) reported that the authorities have already revoked 5 of the 6 suspensions that remained in force against Section 5 of the Mayan Train.
Javier May, head of Fonatur, explained that a federal judge today eliminated two of the last three suspensions that prohibited the works in the section that goes from Playa del Carmen to Tulum, Quintana Roo.
“Another good news for the people! ‘Definitive suspensions’ were denied in amparos 820/2022 and 821/202, with which the provisional suspensions that were in those same files on Section 5 South of the Mayan Train were already null and void,” he wrote on his Twitter account.

According to the official, the resolution document reads that the individual interest cannot prevail over the collective interest.
Amparo 1137/2022 is still in force, also on a provisional suspension of the work of the Mayan Train.

A few days ago, activists and experts from the #SélvameDelTren collective again asked President Andrés Manuel López Obrador to tour the area in which section 5 of the Mayan Train is being built, change the layout of the work and avoid a disaster in that natural area.
Just on August 1, a decree came into force expropriating an area of one million 93 thousand 118 square meters of private property for the construction of section 5, of the Mayan Train.
