The 10 Mexican footballers who have shone the most abroad

Emigrating to Europe is not easy for Mexican players, much less consolidate and become an idol of their clubs. There are some who have achieved great numbers in the Old Continent, both in goals and titles, and for the impact they had on their clubs. Hugo Sanchez
Winner of 5 Pichichi trophies as a scorer in Spain, he was a figure with Real Madrid during the 80’s. He won 5 consecutive leagues with the Merengues, in addition to lifting two Copas del Rey, one with the whites and another with Atlético de Madrid.Rafael Márquez
So far the former defender is the only player to have won the Champions League, when he won it with Barcelona in 2006 and 2009. He is the Mexican with the most titles in Europe, with 11 with the Blaugrana and 3 with Monaco. Andres Guardado
The ‘Little Prince’ has a long career in Europe, although it was with PSV that he did best. With the Farmers he won two league titles and 2 Super Cup titles. In addition, last season he was crowned in the Copa del Rey with Betis. Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez
Although he did not leave in the best way, with Manchester United and Bayer Leverkusen he lived great moments. With the Red Devils he scored more than 50 goals and won 5 titles, in addition to going through Real Madrid, Sevilla and West Ham.

With Atletico Madrid he was more irregular because of the internal competition, despite which he made a difference in some games and won the league title in 2021. Jesus ‘Tecatito’ Crown
Although in the last season he was not considered, he won 3 leagues, 2 Super Cups and a cup with Porto. He is currently with Sevilla, with whom he will seek to recover his best version this season. Hector Moreno
He won an Eredivisie and a Super Cup with AZ Alkmaar, and repeated the double with PSV. He also played with Espanyol, Roma and Real Sociedad, but with whom he shone the most was with the Dutch clubs.
