Macri backed Tetaz before the request for academic trial: “We are not going to allow it”

After a sector of graduates, teachers and students close to Kirchnerism have requested an academic trial against Martín Tetaz, former President Mauricio Macri backed him: “We are not going to allow it.” In this sense, the referent of Together for Change expressed himself through social networks and assured that the request tries to penalize the opposition voices: “My support for Martín Tetaz. The attempt at ‘academic trial’ promoted by a sector of the University of La Plata against him seeks to penalize and warn everyone that any voice that does not coincide with the official discourse will be silenced,” he said. Faced with this situation, he closed the post in a forceful way: “We are not going to allow it.” The criticism against the leader was given for his statements on the day of the assassination attempt against Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner.

“Martín Tetaz is not deserving of the honor and responsibility that requires him to work as a teacher at our beloved University,” they argued. For his part, the radical defined the request as “a fascist act.” They are fascists, but coherent. They don’t settle for thought police. They would like to be able to silence and remove from the cloisters the voices that think differently, how Peronism did with Law 13,031, when teachers were appointed by decree of the PEN, “he said.
