Fatal accident in Tucumán: A train hit a car and two people died

Two men died when they were hit by a Belgrano Cargas train while they were aboard their vehicle while a third person suffered serious injuries. The incident occurred on Wednesday in the province of Tucumán.The accident occurred around 5:30 p.m., at the height of Bulnes Street at 2,500. The fatalities are two men aged 27 and 33 who died after the Renault 9 in which they were travelling was trapped on the road.

According to local media, investigators said the vehicle was crossing the tracks when it was swept away by the Belgrano Carga formation. The fatalities died on the spot. Meanwhile, the third passenger who survived entered the Padilla Hospital lucid with polytraumatisms, a cut on the head that was sutured, bruises on the chest and scrapes and remained hospitalized.

“The citizens were from the area. Two are relatives and adults, they died on the spot. A third person was taken to a health center. The relatives have already been notified,” Commissioner Juan Ibáñez, second head of the Capital Regional Unit, confirmed to Los Primeros.
