During the reading of the supposed pre-candidates, López Obrador stressed that among the names are Ildefonso Guajardo who was secretary of economy with President Enrique Peña Nieto.

“José Ángel Gurría, the angel of dependence. He was Secretary of Finance and Foreign Affairs with Ernesto Zedillo. He said neoliberalism was going to last 20 or 30 years and he got it right,” the president said.
Reading the name of Citizen Movement party senator Patricia Mercado, the president stated that “she helped in the 2006 fraud.”
“He got like a million votes, it was said that the “formal” difference 240 thousand votes with which Calderón won and she took like a million,” said the president.
