Harry Potter actors’ grief over the death of Robbie Coltrane: “You made us a family”

The cinema received sad news today, after confirming the death of actor Robbie Coltrane, known for his character of Rubius Hagrid in the Harry Potter saga. And it was precisely his colleagues and colleagues who left meaningful messages to remember a character who penetrated deep into the “Harrypotera” community.

One of the first to be mentioned was, Daniel Radcliffe, who played Harry Potter and remembered his partner as the funniest on set: “Robbie was one of the funniest people I’ve ever met and he made us laugh constantly when we were kids on set,” he told The Post, adding:  “I remember with special fondness how it lifted our spirits in ‘The Prisoner of Azkaban’, when we hid from the pouring rain for hours in Hagrid’s cabin and he told stories and made jokes to keep morale high.” “I feel incredibly fortunate to have been able to meet and work with him, and very saddened by his passing. He was an amazing actor and a lovely man.” Emma Watson, who starred in Hermione Granger, took to social media to pay tribute to Robbie, writing: “Robbie was like the funniest guy I’ve ever had, but most of all, he was deeply caring and compassionate to me as a child and adult. His talent was so immense that it made sense for him to play a giant: he could fill ANY space with his brilliance,” he described next to a photo.

“Robbie, if I ever manage to be as kind as you were to me on set, I promise you I’ll do it in your name and in your memory,” Watson continued. “Let you know how much I adore and admire you. I will miss your sweetness, your nicknames, your warmth, your laughter and your hugs. You made us a family. Let you know you were that to us,” he said. Finally, Tom Felton, who played Draco Malfoy in the saga also turned to the networks and from his instagram posted: “One of my best memories of the filming of Harry Potter was a night session of the first film in the forbidden forest. I was 12 years old. Robbie cared and cared for everyone around him. Effortless. And it made them laugh. Effortless. He was a big friendly giant on screen, but even more so in real life. I love you friend – thank you for everything xx.”
