A patrol car collided with a private car and overturned against a pole on a sidewalk in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Núñez this Friday morning. The accident involved five people and the driver of the police mobile had to be taken by the SAME to a hospital. The other injured people are two women, aged 25 and 16, who were inside the Fiat Idea and were rescued and treated at the scene. The rest of the wounded were on board the patrol boat. None are seriously injured.
The head of the SAME, Alberto Crescenti, was present and worked to transfer the victims to the hospital. “They are fine, they are polytrauma that does not endanger their lives, but the impact is of magnitude,” the doctor explained to C5N. The accident occurred at 7 a.m. at the intersection of Crisólogo Larralde and Moldes streets, which remained cut. City Firefighters, Police and the SAME work in the place.
To rescue the women who were inside the private car – the one that was overturned by the impact – a rescue operation was initiated. Meanwhile, the police officer who suffered the most serious injuries was referred to a hospital. So far the reasons for the accident are unknown and it is sought to establish if there are security cameras in the area that allow clarifying the fact.
