Omar Fayad uncovers for the Presidency of Mexico… and the PRI

Omar Fayad, former governor of Hidalgo, was uncovered twice because he said he wants to be the next leader of the PRI and also a presidential candidate for 2024.
“I told the leadership very clearly: I’m going to mess with everything because I’m going to become the next leader of the national PRI, and you’ll see. I also told them that I will also have to register as a candidate for the Presidency,” he said in an interview with Azucena Uresti.

Omar Fayad was questioned about whether his meeting with President Andrés Manuel López Obrador was to discuss a future position within the government, a situation he denied.
“No, we talked about many things because we had an extraordinary relationship between the gentleman as president and his servant as governor. Although we are from different parties, from different political forces, we understood each other very well, we coordinated very well. I believe that the new politics should follow that order, and people are fed up with strident politicians who live fighting,” he said.
So far, the PRI members who have signed up to run for the Presidency of the Republic are: Beatriz Paredes, Ildefonso Guajardo, Alejandro Murat, Claudia Ruiz Massieu and Alejandro Moreno.

On behalf of Morena are Claudia Sheinbaum, Marcelo Ebrard, Adán Augusto, Ricardo Monreal and Gerardo Fernández Noroña.
In the PAN, the corcholatas that sound are Maria Eugenia Campos, Ricardo Anaya, Santiago Creel and Juan Carlos Romero Hicks.
