Why Lady Gaga went viral after the premiere of “Merlina” with her song Bloody Mary

Since “Merlina” arrived on Netflix it became one of the successes of the platform ranking among the 10 most watched series. And one scene in particular went viral on the social network Tik-Tok, generating furor among users. And although, the platform knew how to position different series and popularize musical themes, as it did with “Running Up That Hill”, by Kate Bush or ‘Master Of Puppets’ of Metallica thanks to ‘Stranger Things’. On this occasion the particularity that occurred with “Merlina” is that the song that went viral, along with a challenge, never sounds in the Tim Burton series. We are talking about “Bloody Mary”, which Lady Gaga released in 2011 as part of her album “Born this way”, and that if you walk through the networks you will have crossed with a peculiar choreography created by Jena Ortega, actress who plays Merlina during one of the favorite scenes of the fans of the series that derives from “The Addams Family”. However, in this scene where the actress attends a party and displays the “forbidden steps”, Gaga’s theme does not sound, but the song that Merlina dances is ‘Goo Goo Muck’, in the version that The Cramps released in 1981. And what relationship does it have with Bloody Mary, by Lady Gaga?, none, only that a user decided to take that scene and musicalize it with the pop theme and seeing that the steps coincided with the rhythm of the song, it went viral to the point that even the singer herself decided to upload the challenge to the networks.
