Conflict over co-participation: Rodríguez Larreta will give a press conference this Friday

The head of Government of the City of Buenos Aires, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, will give a press conference this morning to establish the position that the administration will adopt regarding the decision of the national government not to comply with the ruling of the Court that ordered to return funds from the co-participation to the Capital Federal.La press conference will be held at 10 this Friday at the headquarters of the Government of the City, located in Uspallata 3160.After 20 this Thursday, the Government confirmed through a statement that it would not abide by the ruling of the highest court because it considers it “impossible to fulfill”. He also called it “unprecedented,” “incongruous” and “political.” He announced, on the other hand, that he will challenge the judges and that he will present a request for revocation “in extremis” of the precautionary resolution issued. In its resolution, the Court granted a precautionary measure presented by the City as a result of the withdrawal of funds of September 2020, and although it has not yet defined the substantive issue, it ordered the restitution to the Capital of 2.95% of the mass of co-participable taxes. Late at night, several opposition leaders had expressed their rejection of the decision taken by the PJ president and governors after a meeting held yesterday at Casa Rosada. The mayor of Buenos Aires, however, chose to meet with his finance officials and wait until this morning to pronounce himself.
