In 2022, Aerolineas Argentinas required 50% less contributions from the State

Aerolineas Argentinas advanced some of the numbers that will be part of the 2022 Management Report. During the past year, the flag line received 65% of the 72 billion pesos allocated by the National State: it used 47 billion pesos or 353,147,000 dollars. This figure represents a reduction of almost 50% compared to the contributions used during 2021 when it received 644,531,000 dollars from the State.” These results show the effort we have been making to continue reducing the contributions of the State and pay for expenses with our own income. It is great news because we were able to do it in a complex macroeconomic context,” explained Pablo Ceriani, president of Aerolineas Argentinas. Meanwhile, by 2023, transfers by the treasury will be $ 412,000,000, a reduction of $ 102 million compared to the projected budget for 2022. In real terms, by 2023 and in pesos, the projected contribution would be 90,000 million. That is, only 26% above 2022.During this year, contributions to the airline will represent 0.31% of the State Budget, while 2019 was 0.48%, as reported from the company.
In addition, the numbers referring to ticket sales were known: the company entered 1,864 million dollars in the last year. In 2022, 11,670,000 passengers were transported across the network of 38 destinations, 48 interprovincial routes and 21 international destinations. According to what is projected for 2023, the company aims to exceed the historical mark of 13,000,000 passengers.
