Maru Botana: “My daughter works as a maid in Hawaii”

Maru Botana spoke for a radio series and there she told how she lives the independence of her eldest children. The pastry chef who is a mother of 8 children with Bernardo Solá revealed that two of her children chose to try their luck outside the country and have already traveled several times to perform in different areas. “I already had Agus out nine months. And I feel like guys make those changes. Today, for example, I have Luci who is 21 years old living in Hawaii. He stayed for about four months and it’s already the second year he’s done it. She goes to work as a maid. And she’s happy.”, told for “Si pasa, pasa”, on Radio Rivadavia. Then he explained that the archipelago of the United States is a destination that they visited several times, so it was not unknown to the 21-year-old: “We went to Hawaii for four years because it’s a place I really like. I always tried to travel a lot. And that’s why these things are also important, because with this family it is not only a bolonqui but also an economic issue. So we try to do things by taking care of that. And Hawaii was a place that captivated us, because people do one and aren’t looking at the other. And you can see that she got that because of her personality. Already last year she went with some friends, who were like seven or eight. And this year too.”Explained. While revealing: “She chooses that. In December she leaves and stays there, happy, working as a maid and watching the landscapes. And I love it because it’s a way to become independent too,” he replied. While he added the data of what Lucia charges for performing domestic chores for each individual: “Earn $40 an hour”, he warned smiling since he is aware that it is a number that in this country is very difficult to achieve by doing the same. Maru is the mother of Agustín, Lucía, Matías, Sofía, Santiago, Facundo (died in 2008), Juan Ignacio and María Inés and maintains that despite the uprooting and missing them she does not plan to cut their wings, an example of this was that she told an anecdote about her eldest son: “Always in my life I want to have strong, independent and happy children. And that’s what I want. Agus was caught by the pandemic when he was in Belgium and didn’t know when he would be able to travel. He was alone in an apartment. And I said, ‘Don’t come back.’ So he went to Barcelona and stayed there.”Recalled.
