“El traje del novio”, one of the winning works of the XX National Dramaturgy Exhibition and Best Performance Award of the Circle of Art Critics of Chile for the interpretation of the outstanding actress Diana Sanz, will have a brief season, between January 25 and 28.
The piece written by the actor and playwright of the UC Theater School, Felipe Zambrano Miguieles (“Puma Madre”, “Love story for an old soul”), presents an intimate, emotional and sensitive story. Inspired by the kidnappings and irregular adoptions of minors in the Military Dictatorship, this fiction portrays the encounter between a seamstress and a young Italian about to marry. The latter arrives in Chile not only in search of the making of the suit for his marriage, but also to delve into his roots.
On stage, the consecrated actress Diana Sanz and the actor Guilherme Sepúlveda embody two completely opposite characters. As its author advances, “on the one hand, an older woman of hard temperament and little dialogue, as a cuirass for all the blows she has received throughout her life; and, on the other, a mature man, mobilized by sensitivity and the search for answers that are related to the origins of his existence”.
