Covid-19: two districts will apply bivalent vaccines from today

After the arrival of bivalent vaccines in the country, their distribution to the provinces began yesterday. There are even some districts that from today will begin to offer them in their vaccinations; while others will hope to agree on more definitions at a next meeting of the Federal Health Council (Cofesa). According to The Nation, last Thursday the Ministry of Health of the Nation reported that it already had a first shipment of 901,440 new doses from the Pfizer laboratory and a second delivery of 1,100,160 more units was expected. In that sense, from the portfolio led by Carla Vizzotti it was explained that the bivariate Comirnaty vaccine will be used as a booster dose, so “a minimum interval of four months (120 days) must be maintained from the last dose received”.The Nation, through a survey, published that in the City of Buenos Aires, the 60,480 doses will begin to be available in the Buenos Aires vaccinators as of today, while in the Province of Buenos Aires they indicated that they had no date of receipt or technical guidelines for their use. In turn, in Mendoza, province to which 40,320 doses arrived, the Minister of Health, Ana María Nadal, explained that they will be applied from today to those over 12 in the authorized health centers. For its part, in Chaco, a first batch of 23,000 doses would also be available from tomorrow; while in Tucumán they would be distributed to vaccinators during this week.
