The head of National Defense of the Ñuble Region, Brigadier General Jorge Salinas Schlack, issued an exempt resolution on Tuesday ordering the owners of riverine properties to provide “access facilities” to water sources to combat forest fires affecting the center-south of the country.
“The use of surface waters in the region, whether it is sea, rivers, lakes, lagoons, dams or others, is arranged to be used in the work of extinguishing the fires that currently affect the Ñuble Region,” says the document signed by the general.

“Consequently, the owners of the riverside properties to the aforementioned water sources must grant the facilities of access to them, without delaying the work of the brigade members or means that require it, whether they are transported by land or air, or in the case of public or private officials, who are employed in the fight against fires.” Add the text.
