Corrientes, Entre Ríos, Chubut and Formosa maintain active forest fires

The provinces of Corrientes, Entre Ríos, Chubut and Formosa fought active forest fires this morning, reported today the National Fire Management Service (SNMF), an agency under the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development of the Nation.In Corrientes, the towns of Ituzaingó (San Gara and La Negra Zone) and San Miguel (Carambola / Santa Julia) maintain active foci, where an SNMF helicopter and 9 fighters from the NEA National Brigade work. Likewise, in the same province, the brigades managed to “contain” the outbreaks in Ituzaingó (Event 12/Loma San Marco and Ñupy 2), Concepción (Estero Carambola and Estero Batelito), Gral. Paz (Puesto Lata) and Santo Tomé (María Concepción). The fires continue in Entre Ríos, since Gualeguay (El Dorado and El Bronce) and Ibicuy (Brazo Chico and Isla Aeroclub) have “active” foci, according to the SNMF in its report this afternoon. In Chubut, the “active” fire remains in Cushamen (Matus), where four helicopters are working, including the Boeing CH-47 Chinook aircraft and two hydrant planes belonging to the SNMF. In turn, the brigades managed to “control” the fires in El Hoyo (Currumahuida), Futaleufú (Paso Ancho/Campo de Jones – Gabriel Rodales/Población Rosales – Unificados Laguna El Tarro, Trevelin, Laguna El Tarro 2 and Campo de Jones), Cushamen (Orbina Cholila/Lago Cholila); and another was “contained” in Cushamen (El Pedregoso). In turn, 27 combatants belonging to the Southern National Brigade provide support, reported the SNMFEn Meanwhile, in Río Negro it was possible to “control” the foci that affected Bariloche (Ushuaia Stream and Foyel River, Ternero River/Cuesta del Ternero); and were “contained” in Pichi Mahuida (Lot 9) and Avellaneda (Negro Muerto area). On the other hand, the SNMF reported that in Buenos Aires the flames were “controlled” in Ensenada (R.N. Punta Lara) and Tornquist (R.P. Ernesto Tornquist), while there are foci “contained” in Campana (without name 1 and without name 2) and Berazategui (Hudson Reserve). Finally, in the province of Formosa, the “active” fire is in Pilcomayo (Solito).
