“Batman”, Christopher Nolan’s trilogy with Christian Bale returns to Argentine cinemas

“Batman,” the trilogy directed by Christopher Nolan and starring Christian Bale, returns to Argentine theaters this month. Consecutively every Thursday, theaters will re-release the films one by one: from next April 13 with “Batman: begins” (2005), on April 20 with “Batman: The Dark Knight” (2008) and on April 27 with “Batman: The Dark Knight Rises” (2012). The return of the franchise to the big screens occurs within the framework of the 100 years of Warner Bros. Pictures and its advance tickets are already on sale in chains such as Cinemark-Hoyts, Atlas, Cinépolis, Showcase and Imax.In turn, the arrival of the second part of the film saga is framed on a significant date: July 18 marks the 15th anniversary of the release of “Batman: the dark night,” the film that distinguished the superhero genre with multiple awards such as the Oscar for Best Sound Editing for Richard King and the posthumous award for Best Supporting Actor received by Heath Ledger for his portrayal of the Joker. It should be remembered that the Australian actor died on January 22 of that same year and did not get to see the final result of his work. The trilogy also featured the work of noted composer Hans Zimmer (“The Lion King,” “Gladiator,” “Pirates of the Caribbean,” “The Last Samurai,” “The Origin,” and so many others) in music. In addition to including a starring cast of figures: Michael Caine as Alfred Pennyworth, Gary Oldman as James Gordon, and Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox; and the participation of Liam Neeson, Kate Holmes, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Aaron Eckhart, Cillian Murphy, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard and Tom Hardy.Considered as the saga of the Dark Knight, it was praised by critics who revalued the superhero genre for the more realistic, dark and political treatment it gave to its adaptation of DC comics.
