Councilwoman of La Florida interrupted participation in City Council after complaint for libel and slander filed against her by Municipality

The councilor of La Florida, Marcela Abedrapo (PC), had to interrupt her participation in the Municipal Council of the commune after being required by Carabineros personnel following a warning order that weighed against her.
This occurs in the context of a complaint for libel and slander filed by the municipality, which is currently headed by Mayor Rodolfo Carter (former UDI). This legal action was filed against Abedrapo at the request of an official of the Directorate of Citizen Security.

In view of the situation, the militant authority of the Communist Party could not enter a session of the Municipal Council, which was taking place today, since uniformed personnel went to the place to execute the warning order just before the start of the instance. The councilor did not attend to testify in court, which motivated the procedure and subsequent transfer to the 36th Police Station.
Through a statement, the Communist Party denounced the situation. In that sense, they assured that both his arrest and transfer to courts “constitute a rude way of trying to humiliate a councilor of our party.” “Our solidarity with Marcela and our willingness to collaborate in what her defense requires,” they said from the PC.
It should be noted that a few days ago and after various acts and appearances in the press outside the municipality, the councilor denounced before the Comptroller General of the Republic the mayor of La Florida, Rodolfo Carter, for notable dereliction of duties.
