It’s time to change the security strategy: Toño Carreño

Morelia, Michoacán.- The wave of insecurity and anxiety that exists in Michoacán is unacceptable, citizens live in fear and it is time for the authorities to change the strategy, said Toño Carreño Sosa, state coordinator of Movimiento Ciudadano.
It is worrying that in Morelia violent acts are known almost every day; there are homicides, house robberies, assaults and no new actions are seen by those in charge of security, Carreño Sosa said.
Security, said the coordinator of Movimiento Ciudadano, must stop being politicized, since it goes beyond excuses about coordination. What the population demands are results and consequently live peacefully.
Toño Carreño commented that in the past it was said that “going out on the street could be dangerous”, but now even being in private homes, businesses or public places, executions occur, keeping citizens in anxiety.
The coordinator ended by indicating that it is that results are given in terms of security, since this goes beyond changing those in charge of the corresponding areas, “what is needed is a new strategy, but effective, with forceful actions,” he concluded.
