We must materialize access to the rights of mothers, fathers and guardians responsible for the family: Mónica Valdez

Mónica Valdez and Luz María García García, presented an initiative to repeal the Law for the Development and Protection of Mothers Heads of Family of the State, and to issue the Law of Protection of Mothers, Fathers and Guardians Responsible for Family of the State.
Morelia, Mich. – We must materialize from our regulatory framework access to human rights of mothers, fathers and guardians responsible for families, stressed PRD deputy Monica Valdez Pulido, member of the Commission for Integral Development of the Family of the LXXV Legislature of the State Congress, reported through a statement.
This Thursday Mónica Valdez and Luz María García García, presented an initiative to repeal the Law for the Development and Protection of Mothers, Heads of Family of the State, and issue the Law of Protection of Mothers, Fathers and Guardians Responsible for Family of the State.
“The objective is that, by law, the authorities have to face their responsibility in terms of respect and protection of the human rights of women and men, who being mothers, fathers and guardians, do not have another person with whom to share the responsibilities and economic sustenance of the family.”

The deputy for the District of Zacapu said that what implies to recognize, respect, protect and guarantee the human rights of women, men, girls and boys, from the mainstreaming of the perspective of gender, interculturality, childhood, and disability, thinking, in addition, in the protection and integral development of the family.
“It is essential to comply with the provisions of article four of the Political Constitution of the United Mexican States, which states that women and men are equal before the law and that the law shall protect the organization and development of the family.”
Mónica Valdez stressed that, for both men and women, directing and being responsible for a home without a spouse or partner can represent a complex condition, because they not only have the responsibility of the care or attention of their children, but also of other activities such as work for the maintenance of their home.
