Gollan: “It would be ‘ridiculous’ for someone from the FdT to compete with Cristina in a PASO”

While uncertainty continues regarding Cristina Fernández de Kirchner’s final decision on a candidacy for the October presidential elections, it was Daniel Gollan – national deputy for the Frente de Todos (FdT) – who argued that “it would be ridiculous” for a candidate to compete with the former president in an internal one. Anyone from the FdT who wanted to compete with Cristina would lose ’20 to 1′. It is the one that has the greatest consensus by far in our movement and in the electorate in general,” he said in the first instance. In that line, the deputy said that “whoever wants to go to an intern with her, do it, but it seems ridiculous to me. With all due respect, no one likes to be beaten.” She also referred to the real chances that CFK will run as a candidate for the October elections. “One wants to believe that today we are closer to a slogan ‘Cristina 2023’. But the decision is hers. I don’t have any information, but any data that comes from somewhere gives us enormous hope,” he said. There is no better candidate than Cristina for the FdT. Most of our people think so. I ask the Argentines, with a hand on my heart: When were you better after the disastrous 2001 than with Nestor and Cristina?” Finally, the former Minister of Health of the Province spoke about the figure of Javier Milei, pre-candidate for president for La Libertad Avanza. “Others say that if Cristina does not go, they will vote for Milei because they think it disruptive, but we all know that the ideas she defends mean going back to prehistory,” Gollan said.
