Registration opened for the fifth edition of “Argentine Festivals”

The Ministry of Culture of the Nation announced today that registration has opened for the fifth call of “Argentine Festivals” for the organization of cultural events. It is an initiative of the Secretariat of Cultural Management and the Federal Action Directorate of the Ministry of Culture of the Nation, which aims to provide economic support to strengthen and promote these important spaces of popular expression, which are both central in the fulfillment of cultural rights, both of publics and of artists and creators. Non-profit civil associations or municipal or provincial public bodies that organize parties, festivals and cultural events, during the second semester of 2023, can apply to receive the support provided by the program. Those interested can register in several categories according to the number of attendees registered in past editions and access amounts ranging from $ 750,000 to $ 3,500,000.The celebrations must be scheduled between July 1 and December 31, 2023, regardless of the date stipulated for its completion. Those who want to apply must be part of the Federal Registry of Culture, either as a natural person or from the Registry of Cultural Spaces or Cultural Organizations and Companies. In turn, from the Ministry of Culture of the Nation report that “once the proposals are received, the jury will especially value those that promote emerging cultural expressions; that contribute to the federal circulation of audiences and content; that transcend the scenic moment; to ensure accessibility for persons with disabilities; that comply with the provisions of the Law on Female Quotas in Musical Stages and Events; and everything related to aspects that celebrate and include diversity in all its expressions”.
