Homero Pettinato spoke of his brother Felipe’s discharge: “He is innocent and a victim of drugs

From the radio program, Homero Pettinato referred to the discharge of his brother Felipe Pettinato, who was admitted to a rehabilitation center for a year to perform an interdisciplinary treatment for his drug addiction. Homero spoke of the tragic episode that occurred on the night of May 16, 2022 where in circumstances, which are still under investigation, the apartment where Felipe lived caught fire and the neurologist Melchor Rodrigo died burned. Referring to this episode, Homer said: “In an accident where a person died, and there is a family that is still watching over him. There are people who are missing him, who are waiting for him, who still think about him, imagine him, look for him,” he said of the doctor who lost his life. On the story behind it, he said: “On both sides we know what happened and we don’t want to make press with this, and we don’t want to stain anyone’s memory. So, simply, we choose to keep quiet and respect,” he clarified. He then referred directly to his brother and said: “Felipe is discharged, and now he went to what is called ‘supervised discharge’ or day hospital. He has to keep going for two more years to keep fighting his addictions,” he said.  “My brother, Felipe is innocent, and he is a victim of a scourge that attacks this country from within, which is drugs,” he said.
