Salud en tu Familia celebrates one year of improving the quality of life of Michoacans

Through free medical services that bring the homes of the vulnerable population closer. 176,188 homes have been visited, 110,287 respondents have been surveyed and 62,593 medical attention has been provided.
Morelia, Michoacán. – Salud en tu Familia, the flagship program of the government of Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla, celebrates one year of improving the quality of life of the Michoacan population that is in conditions of vulnerability, according to a statement.
With 176 thousand 188 houses visited, 110 thousand 287 surveyed and 62 thousand 593 medical attention provided in 59 municipalities of the state, the program advances successfully, one year after its launch in Zamora.
This program is coordinated and operated by the Ministry of Health of Michoacán (SSM), and has the purpose of bringing medical care and laboratory services to the homes of people who, due to their physical, social or mental limitations, cannot go alone to the medical units of the institution.

To this end, a house-to-house census will be carried out by promoters to identify older adults with limiting chronic diseases, pregnant women without prenatal control, people with disabilities and bedridden patients; as well as post-COVID-19 patients, abandoned, terminal, or with mental illnesses or addictions.
Most of the surveys conducted have been conducted among women aged 60 years and over, who presented conditions such as hypertension, obesity and diabetes; and physical, visual and hearing disabilities.
The SSM will redouble efforts to achieve greater coverage in the 113 municipalities of the state and to improve, care, protect and guarantee health services to the Michoacans who need it most.
