Michoacán promotes strategies of the New Mexican School

Morelia, Michoacán.- The Ministry of Education of the State (SEE), continues with the impulse to the New Mexican School (NEM), with actions such as meetings of Pedagogical Technical Advisors, meetings with supervisors, gatherings, training and workshops in which more than 50 thousand teachers have participated.
The head of the state agency, Gabriela Molina Aguilar, leads the actions for the implementation of this model, which puts the community as a priority, that is, it is taught and learned according to the environment and social context of the students.
The seven articulating axes on which this proposal emanating from the federal government is based are: Gender equality, Critical interculturality, Healthy living, Art and artistic experiences, Inclusion, Critical thinking, and Reading and writing in the approach to cultures.
In turn, these axes will focus on four training fields: Knowledge and critical thinking, Ethics, nature and society, Of the human and the community, and Languages, all always channeled to the community and the environment of the students.
This is how the SEE revives the essence of education, by resuming through the New Mexican School branches such as multiculturalism, gender equity and the environment, these issues being a historical demand in Michoacán that the local be integrated into the plans and programs of study.
