Cold wave: seven provinces with temperatures below zero

After several days of rain and humidity, the first lower temperatures of 2023 arrived for some parts of the country. The provinces of Buenos Aires, Río Negro, Chubut, Neuquén, Mendoza, San Luis and Santa Cruz registered temperatures below zero at 9 in the morning, according to the temperature ranking of the National Meteorological Service (SMN). Maquinchao, in Río Negro (-8 degrees); Esquel, in Chubut (-5.8 degrees), and Bariloche, in Río Negro (-4.6), top the podium of the SMN list. They are followed by Coronel Suárez, in the province of Buenos Aires (-3.3); El Bolsón, in Río Negro (-2.9), and Neuquén (-2.8). In Mendoza, Malargüe registered 2.6 degrees below zero; in St. Louis, Villa Reynolds marked 2 degrees below zero; in Chubut, Trelew registered 1.7 degrees below zero. In the province of Buenos Aires, temperatures below zero were also felt in Azul (-1.5); Olavarria (-1.2); Bolívar (-1) and Tres Arroyos (-1.9). On the other hand, at the other end of the ranking, Puerto Iguazú, in Misiones, with 18 degrees, and Bernardo de Irigoyen, also in Misiones, with 15.6 degrees, are the hottest places in the country. As for the City of Buenos Aires, dawned with a temperature close to 5 ° C, the lowest value so far of the year, while some sectors of the suburb fall below 2 ° C.Tomorrow, Monday, in CABA, the minimum will be 10 degrees while the maximum of 15 degrees.
