Uruapan, Mich.- On Friday afternoon, there was a strong fire on the hill of La Cruz in the city of Uruapan, so immediately brigades and firefighters from different corporations were activated to begin work to contain and later control the burning.
In the coverage of the news it was learned that around 6:30 p.m., for reasons so far not determined, the fire began and due to the wind, in minutes it spread to an area near the Don Vasco Fractionation and the Cuauhtémoc and Balcones neighborhoods.

The column of smoke that warned about the voracious fire was seen from different parts of the city, mobilized the brigades of the National Forestry Commission (Conafor), elements of Volunteer and Professional Firefighters of Uruapan, Rescue Michoacán, Uruapan Delegation, as well as personnel from the Ministry of the Environment and Capasu.
A command center was installed in the area to coordinate the tasks to be implemented, while the brigade members and the personnel of the different corporations are already working on the firefighting, which until tonight is out of control.
