The National Meteorological Service (SMN) reported this afternoon that eight jurisdictions in the country exceeded 28 degrees at 5 pm, including cities of Formosa, Santa Fe, Chaco, Salta, Córdoba, Catamarca and San Luis, while in the City of Buenos Aires it reached 25.5 degrees with 71% humidity, in an unusual day for the beginning of June. According to SMN data updated at 17, in the city of Las Lomitas in the province of Formosa the thermometer reached 30 degrees, the same as in Ceres, Santa Fe, while in the city of Reconquista, Santa Fe, it reached 29.2 degrees. They also reported that in San Ramón de La Nueva Orán, province of Salta, it marked 29 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, in Presidencia Roque Sáenz Peña, province of Chaco, 28.9 and in Villa de María, Córdoba, 28.4 degrees. For its part, the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires reached 25.5 degrees and 71 percent humidity. In turn, the orange alerts that the agency issued this morning for “dangerous meteorological phenomena” are maintained in four provinces of the center and south of the country that imply heavy rains for the mountain ranges of Neuquén, Río Negro and Chubut, persistent snowfall in Mendoza and Neuquén, winds with gusts that can reach 120 kilometers per hour in much of Patagonia, At the same time that another alert also orange for wind Zonda for the south of Mendoza.In addition, of the yellow alerts for meteorological events “with capacity of damage and risk of momentary interruption of activities” such as winds, rains and snowfall in seven provinces of the center of the country and Patagonia.The orange level for rains included the mountain range of Neuquén, Río Negro and Chubut, where accumulated precipitation values between 30 and 60 millimeters are expected.
