Cecilia Strzyzowski case: the forensic team explained that “there is nothing clearly human” in the skeletal remains

After a new search has been carried out since the statement of the two new detainees, the forensic anthropology team of the Judicial Power of Córdoba affirmed that in the bone samples “there is nothing clearly human” and added that there are “some doubtful skeletal remains.” In this way, in the framework of the investigation into the alleged femicide of Cecilia Strzyzowski who disappeared on June 1 in Resistencia, Chaco, through a statement with the result of the expertise, where it coincided with the Institute of Medicine and Forensic Sciences of the Judicial Power of Chaco, it was made clear that the skeletal remains found are “very deteriorated, because they were exposed to the sun, to water and they are also burned.” In addition, in the report to which Telam accessed, it was assured: “In any case, the anthropology team will deepen its investigation through studies of anatomy compared to the information they obtained this Saturday (based on the photos and analysis they carried out) and later they will propose the steps to follow that they deem appropriate. ” For this work, prosecutor Nelia Velázquez, a member of the Special Prosecutor’s Team (EFE), summoned anthropologist Anahí Ginarte and forensic doctor Florencia Granton from the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Córdoba. At the same time, it should be noted that Juan Arregin, the new lawyer of Gloria Romero, mother of Cecilia, highlighted the work of professionals from Córdoba: “It is fundamental because we understand that we found bones in a raid and we have to rule out that they are not animals and are human.”
