Córdoba votes for its new governor: Llaryora and Juez are the main candidates

On Sunday and one day after the closing of lists, the province of Córdoba will vote to elect governor and vice, provincial legislators and mayors, councilors and authorities for the Court of Accounts. One of the main candidates is the official Martin Llaryora, current mayor of the provincial capital who will be accompanied by Myriam Prunotto, Mayor of Juárez Celman, who recently joined Peronism despite having a radical past. It should be noted that these pro-government candidates were appointed by the current governor, Juan Schiaretti, who will seek the presidency of the nation in a formula that he will integrate with Florencio Randazzo for “We make our country.” On the other hand, the best positioned opponent is Luis Juez of Together for Change who will seek to keep a province that since 1999, with the victory of José Manuel de la Sota, is under the power of Peronism. He will be accompanied by the president of the Radical Civic Union (UCR) of Córdoba and national deputy, Marcos Carasso.Another aspect to highlight, has to do with the fact that it will be the second time that Llaryora and Judge face each other in an election, since they competed in 2019 for the intendancy of the provincial capital. On that occasion, it was the representative of Peronism who won the election.
