Taxi driver attacked in Apatzingán and injured

Apatzingán, Mich.- On Friday night, armed criminals attacked a taxi driver with bullets in the vicinity of the “Nueva” neighborhood, in this municipality of Apatzingán. The victim was injured and was hospitalized. In the last 17 days there have been 5 attacks against rouletteers.
The recent attack was reported minutes before 9:00 p.m., on the street extension of José Sotero de Castañeda, where the now wounded, who was identified as Santiago M, 41 years old, was surprised by gunmen who shot him repeatedly.
The affected was injured on board his unit, a Nissan Tsuru, white with blue and green stripes of the Red Machines group, and number 115. The car was seen several perforations caused by the projectiles.

The taxi driver was assisted by paramedics from Municipal Civil Protection and transferred to receive medical attention at a private clinic, while Civil Guard personnel guarded the site so that later experts from the State Attorney General’s Office could carry out the initial actions.
There are already 5 attacks against taxi drivers since June 28, the first four were fatal. On June 28 2 rouletteers were killed in less than an hour, in the Buenos Aires and Lomas de Palmira neighborhoods, respectively, later on Tuesday, July 4, another steering wheel worker was also killed, but in the Vista Hermosa neighborhood and on July 6 another taxi driver was shot dead in the Miguel Hidalgo neighborhood.
