Taekwondo, surfing and roller skating, the most productive disciplines.
Morelia, Michoacán. – Michoacán won 95 medals in the Conade 2023 Nationals, so it surpassed the 94 of the previous year; Taekwondo, surfing and roller skating were the most productive disciplines with 22, 12 and 11 medals, respectively, according to a statement.
The State Commission of Physical Culture and Sports (Cecufid) reports that the Purépecha delegation won 21 golds, 30 silvers and 44 bronzes in Tabasco, Jalisco, Morelos, Aguascalientes and Nayarit, venues in which the maximum amateur fair in the country was held for a month and a half.
The director of the Cecufid, Raúl Morón Vidal, was happy for the medals obtained, highlighted the great participation of taekwondo, surfing and roller skating, as well as athletics and squash, which conquered nine and eight metals, respectively. In addition, he noted that he will meet with the disciplines that did not reflect the expected results to see how that situation can be reversed by 2024.
“It was a good participation, since the way of qualifying for this edition was modified, the level increased with the Regional Macro; Two years ago 77 were won, last year we had a great participation with 94 medals and this one 95 were won. It only remains for me to thank and congratulate all the athletes,” he said.
Finally, he shared that in the coming weeks the call for the next annual cycle of sports incentives will be launched for the athletes who won the 95 medals in Conade 2023 Nationals.
