After the storm in Comodoro Rivadavia, the “red alert” was lifted due to strong winds and services begin to be restored

The Chubut municipality of Comodoro Rivadavia lifted the “red alert for strong winds” that operated since yesterday and restored public services after an intense storm that caused damage of different considerations. In the official statement, it was indicated: “Given the information provided by the National Meteorological Service, that the Red Alert for wind storm is ending, public and private activities begin to gradually resume normally.” The report also indicates that “currently, 80% of the city has electricity and intense work is being done to restore it in the missing neighborhoods,” although “the community is requested to circulate with caution due to the presence of fallen trees and poles in various areas of the city.” Among the most shocking damages caused by the meteor is the detachment of part of the structure of the “General Enrique Mosconi” International Airport, which fell in the parking area and forced, due to the magnitude of the damage, the closure of the air station. The airport will remain closed until tomorrow at noon, due to the damage caused by the storm, reported sources of the concessionaire Aeropuertos Argentina 2000.In addition to what happened at the airport, in several sectors of the city there were falls of posters and damage to some vehicles. It was also reported the sinking of a boat of the artisanal fleet that was moored to the dock of Caleta Córdova and heeled on starboard, after being shaken by the waves, without any injuries because the fishing boat was without crew.
