Plan Morelos was a political-electoral event: Toño Carreño

The governor and his cabinet should address the issues most felt by citizens
Morelia, Mich. – The Morelos Plan, presented last Sunday by Governor Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla, unfortunately was a political-electoral event, in which Movimiento Ciudadano disagrees, because there is greater concern for 2024 and leaves aside the true needs of Michoacanos, Toño Carreño Sosa said in a statement.
The state coordinator of Movimiento Ciudadano, regretted that in the style of the oldest policy, the presentation of the plan in question, served to satisfy personal egos and forget the conditions of poverty of thousands of Michoacanos, the educational lag, environmental issues, the problem of lemon trees and in general insecurity.
In a press conference, he pointed out that the governor has the responsibility to speak in the present and not about a future in which the initiatives are not even presented to the legislative branch, that is, he must make politics of deeds, not words.
Toño Carreño also criticized that the money of the Michoacans is used and is that at least 800 thousand pesos have been recognized by the secretary of government, for an electoral act in which it was sought to worship the presidency of the Republic, with a message of complacency, in this old policy and is that everyone knows that if they are well with the president, They get electoral benefits.
The speech was undoubtedly far from unity, added the state coordinator, at all times it was focused on a single political party, so that does not speak of a true statesman.

The governor spoke of responsibility, “but from Movimiento Ciudadano we tell you that responsibility is to act and not get carried away by electoral situations. We represent more than 85 thousand votes to build a different Michoacan, through our mayors, aldermen and deputies and we have not been heard. We’re the only party he hasn’t met with to look at the issues beyond the colors.”
Therefore, he said, true collectivity is to govern in favor of the people, regardless of which party the authorities emanated; “We presented more than three years ago an initiative to return power to citizens, we invite you to shut our mouths to the detractors we are questioning, but with facts.”
What citizens expect, said Toño Carreño, is a policy of actions, results and that is achieved with a good government, so we are against more proselytizing acts.
She invited to work on issues of participatory budgeting, to present the initiatives raised only in speeches, such as the right of women to decide about their bodies and thus be a reality. “We are a responsible opposition, thinking first of the citizens and then of the elections,” he concluded.
