Prosecutor Marijuan charged Gabriela Cerruti with failure to report and incitement to violence

Prosecutor Guillermo Marijuan charged on Wednesday the spokeswoman of the Presidency, Gabriela Cerruti, for omission of denunciation and incitement to violence after robberies and attacks on shops in different parts of the country. Marijuan based his position on an affirmation by Cerruti, who said publicly that he had information about those events, but did not make the corresponding complaint. In turn, he urged President Alberto Fernández and the governors to provide intelligence reports that may have been forged by the unrest. The complaint was promoted by leaders of La Libertad Avanza after the official linked Javier Milei to the events that occurred on Tuesday. Then, during an interview, Cerruti also took aim at Patricia Bullrich. The climate on social networks was generated by accounts linked to La Libertad Avanza and groups of (Patricia) Bullrich, about something they wanted to happen,” he said. The case initiated by Buenos Aires legislator Nahuel Sotelo and lawyer Francisco Oneto, candidate for vice governor of Carolina Píparo in the province of Buenos Aires, fell to Judge María Eugenia Capuchetti, who is in charge of federal court number 9 on an interim basis.
