Catupecu Machu inaugurated its residence in Vorterix: “We returned for you loves of my life”

On the night of last Thursday, August 24, a heat emerged from the floor of the Vorterix theater and despite the low temperatures, in that enclosure the microclimate bared souls and hearts alike when Fernando Ruiz Díaz, Abril Sosa, Juli Gondell and Charles Noguera took the stage to inaugurate the residence, a novel format of concerts that will continue on 8/25, on 31/8 and 01/09. There, those present were able to previously enjoy the experience proposed by this new and innovative format of recitals specially designed to enter the world of the band, and discover the labyrinths of its secret passage. At the same time we experience in first person all this journey to the past and present of the almost three decades of memories, awards and images, where an intimate atmosphere predominates generating a complicity with its followers. Imagine that we inaugurate this place” said Fer recalling the beginnings and telling how they asked the architect of the theater to raise the stage so that all the people could see well. “We came to see the stage with Gaby and Abril and the stage was low. You have to lift it, so people can see. If you go to the theater of Flores, which was done by the same architect as this, you saw that you are going and if you are not in the front you do not see a damn”, He told to the applause of the people, the anecdote continued and the frontman of the band had his solo and acoustic moment where he played, among other songs, his version of “Más y más” by Draco Rosa. “The most beautiful love song in the world”Warned. Photo: Ignacio Arnedo | @arnedonacho|Throughout the night followed the successes of the hand of: “That lives”, “Sometimes I return” and “Magic poison”, which featured the participation of Zorrito Von Quintiero on bass. And the classic already installed by the band with its drum duel between Abril Sosa and Julián Gondell who would also join to play “Viaje del Miedo”. Photo: Ignacio Arnedo | @arnedonacho|An epic moment of the night was lived with pure emotion when “To dress today” sounded that together with the staging and the play of lights created an unbeatable atmosphere. Another of the pearls of the evening was the duel between Fer and Abril who improvised “Calavera deforme”, a song from the repertoire that they do not usually play. “It’s been about 25 years since this song was played. ! Che!, it was not rehearsed, but “Aprile” had asked me that I wanted to play live “Deformed Skull”, Fer explained, while Sosa asked: “You have to touch it, don’t you? “ to the euphoria of those present. Another of the pearls that Fer improvised was a parody of “Cuando Calenta el Sol” by Luis Miguel of whom he said: “Che, LuisMi broke it”, however after singing, in his own way, the chorus tripped over the pedalboard and fell generating a moment of tension, which he quickly resolved, laughing and arguing: “It’s catupecu, crazy”. However, Sosa’s beats announced the beginning of the long-awaited “Dale!” but Fer could not find the note of his guitar, which after falling, was out of tune. It was there that he sought assistance while laughing at what had happened. It was there that the vocalist also took the opportunity to thank all the technical team that works with them. “You applaud us, but we are all “anonymous heroes” and that is why I want to ask you for a very strong applause, the biggest applause of the night to the Catupecu Machu team,” Launched. The end was approaching and while Fer tried to tune his guitar the band optedor for taking a classic cover of the galley and playing “Smells like teen spirit” by Nirvana as a prelude to the endless “Dale!” that anticipated the end of an unparalleled night. Photo: Ignacio Arnedo | @arnedonacho|“I don’t want tonight to end, crazy! Catupecu reincarnated, Catupecu is back. We stop a little at the barrier, wait for the train to pass, and I want to cross the barrier. Long live Argentine music, long live Argentine rock, long live you, I am very happy that there are many people who see us today for the first time. We came back for you, forever loves of my life.” said Fer to say goodbye to the first night in Vorterix and shelter to do everything again, this 25-8 and the two dates that follow for which there are only some tickets left on 31-8 and you can buy them here.
