Morelia, Michoacán. – The deputy in Michoacán of the PRI in the Congress of Michoacán, Daniela de los Santos Torres, pointed out that any government can make mistakes around textbooks, but what is not valid is to implement an ideology through books, because the constitution states that education has to be secular.
At a time when ideology is an important part of textbooks, through the way in which children and adolescents must call the family and the critical positions towards a certain social group that are between the pages, the government is breaking the law, said the congresswoman.

As for the request by the governor of Michoacán, Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla, to send him free textbooks that in other states they do not want, the deputy said that first the governor should attend the schools, since many of them do not have decent bathrooms, nor do they have roofs, to build more classrooms because many children take their classes in stick rooms.
It should be noted that the controversy led six states to stop its distribution, including Chihuahua, Coahuila, Guanajuato, Aguascalientes, Querétaro, in addition to Yucatán
