Uriel Carmona, “a network of complicities”, says SEGOB

The head of the Ministry of the Interior (Segob), Luisa María Alcalde, told Uriel Carmona, prosecutor of Morelos, Morelos, has “a network of complicities” within the Federal Judiciary and in the Congress of Morelos.
According to the official, the prosecutor is accused of having assumed the position without passing the confidence exams of the position, so, he said, he would be committing a crime.
In the Report of the Security Cabinet, the secretary recalled that Uriel Carmona arrived at the Prosecutor’s Office of Morelos promoted by the then governor Graco Ramírez for a period of nine years and accused him that since his management he has been pointed out for his “deficient performance and irregularity” in several cases in the entity, including the femicide of Ariadna.
He pointed out that Uriel Carmona did not present the confidence control exams that the law establishes to exercise the position of prosecutor and carried them out until September 2021 and that he failed, so he warned that assuming this position without passing these exams constitutes a crime.
This is in addition to the accusations against Carmona for his deficient performance in cases of homicide and femicide such as that of activist Samir in 2019, those of two trade unionists in 2020, that of Ariadna Fernanda in 2022 and that of a worker of the National Institute of Public Health in 2023. It led to an alleged case of torture.
