Unrest in the Massa sector after Alberto’s complaint against Milei

After the denunciation of President Alberto Fernández against Javier Milei, a malaise was generated in the sector of the presidential candidate of Union for the Fatherland, Sergio Massa, which would have covered almost the entire ruling party. According to The Nation, sources close to the current Minister of Economy said that “Sergio did not know” and that “he does not agree with what was done.” They even confirmed that he spoke with the Argentine president and let him know his discomfort with the situation. However, the decision of the head of state would not have caused anger only in the sector of the reference of the Renewal Front, given that the entire campaign command of the ruling party would also disagree with the move. This all began when Fernández decided to denounce Milei for recommending not to save in pesos that he referred to as “excrement.” In the text he explains that by the statements of the presidential candidate of La Libertad Avanza, the dollar “rose precipitously and in less than a day, from eight hundred and seventy ($ 870) to one thousand ten pesos ($ 1,010).” For his part, the libertarian economist called a press conference to address the issue. There, he accused Fernández of wanting to “proscribe the most voted force,” although he anticipated that “nothing is going to prevent the beating that we are going to give them at the polls.”
