Bedolla inaugurates International Robotics Tournament in Morelia

Morelia, Michoacán. – Governor Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla, kicked off the VEX 2023 International Robotics Championship, in which 158 teams from Mexico, the United States, Canada, Colombia and Panama participate, as reported through a statement.
At the inauguration, Bedolla said that this type of tournament strengthens the development of knowledge and skills in technology and robotics that, combined with Artificial Intelligence, allows new generations to be at the forefront.
In addition, he recognized the leadership of the College of Scientific and Technological Studies of the State of Michoacán (Cecytem), and said he was satisfied that Morelia will host this important event where around 1,600 participants will be exhibited.
The president of the Stern Ibero-America Academy, Francisco Wilson Robles, commented that this is the largest robotics foundation, with more than 25,000 registered teams and half a million students working with their curricula with which they want to train high-quality technologists and engineers.

The general director of Cecytem, Víctor Manuel Báez Ceja, highlighted the governor’s sensitivity to promote development with support for education and sciences. He informed that in the coming weeks new technological laboratories will be opened to strengthen the training of students.
From the interior of the country, young people from Jalisco, Chihuahua, Tlaxcala, Puebla, Tamaulipas, Guanajuato, Tabasco, Mexico City, State of Mexico and Quintana Roo attend.
