Morelia, Michoacán. – After the culmination of Paranacionales Conade 2023, the last event on the sports calendar, Michoacán made history in this year’s five competitions of the National Commission for Physical Culture and Sport, in which the number of medals of the previous edition was exceeded; It hosted three of them, two of which were first-timers, according to a statement from the state government.
The Government of Michoacán, through the State Commission of Physical Culture and Sports (Cecufid), is pleased to report that the entity was a protagonist in the events organized year after year by the highest house of Mexican sports; in Conade 2023 Nationals, he won 95 medals and surpassed the 94 of the previous year. Taekwondo, surfing and roller skating were the most productive disciplines with 22, 12 and 11 medals, respectively.
In the recently concluded Conade 2023 Paranationals, he won 74 metals, surpassing the 71 of the previous year. Para-swimming won 47 medals, para-athletics 20, para-table tennis three, as did aquathlon, while para-cycling awarded a bronze on the road.
For the first time, Michoacán hosted the National Meeting of Indigenous and Traditional Games and Sports, as well as the National Popular Games, in which it made history. In the first he became the top winner for the second year in a row, while in the other he won three golds, one silver and four bronzes, his best performance in the 15 years of the event.
In the National Indigenous Sports Meeting, he placed first in the national medal table, with five golds and one silver, results he had not obtained in the nine previous editions.
