Soda Stereo to be honored with its first Latin Grammy Award

The legendary Argentinian rock band, Soda Stereo, is about to receive a major honor at the Latin Grammy Awards. After almost 16 years since their last concert in 2007, Gustavo Cerati, Charly Alberti and Zeta Bosio will be honored with the “Musical Excellence Award”. The news was announced via the band’s social media. Alberti and Bosio will travel to the Spanish city of Seville to participate in a private ceremony next Sunday, November 12, four days before the official gala. In an interview with Clarín, Bosio expressed his excitement at this recognition, highlighting how Soda Stereo’s music continues to resonate with new generations. “This Grammy continues to show signs of a very present Soda, with new generations and new nationalities and languages. There are people who discover our music when our first album is going to be 40 years old and they are fans,” he said. The award ceremony will be broadcast on TNT and HBO Max starting at 10:30 p.m. (Argentine time). However, an hour earlier, fans will be able to immerse themselves in the red carpet with a pre-show hosted by Lety Sahagun and Heisel Mora.La Argentine presence at the 2023 Latin Grammys is not limited to Soda Stereo alone. Among the nominees are prominent artists such as Fito Páez, Bizarrap, María Becerra, Nicki Nicole, A.N.I.M.A.L, Eruca Sativa, Todo Aparenta Normal, Usted Señalemelo and Babasónicos.
